Iranian National Saves Ankara from Terrorist Plot

TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkey's capital city of Ankara was saved from a terrorist plot after an Iranian national informed the police that he had found several plastic bags containing explosive materials.

According to FNA dispatches, the Iranian national who is working in the UN office in Ankara on Saturday found the suspicious plastic bags in the basement of a house that he had recently rented in Alwan Kent neighborhood.

The Iranian national informed the landlord and then the Turkish police of the suspicious plastic bags.

The following search operation conducted by the Turkish police counterterrorism squad resulted in finding 25kg of highly explosive TNT and other tools and equipment needed for making hand-made explosive devices and bombs.

Police investigation into the case is underway.
