Official Calls Iran's Military Preparedness as Major Deterrent against Enemy Invasion

TEHRAN (FNA)- The high level of preparedness of the Iranian Armed Forces has made the enemies to retreat their threats against the country, a senior Iranian official said on Sunday.

"Our Armed Forces are the symbol of our power, might, resistance and deterrence. The armed forces have made the enemy motionless and make it change its plots," Head of Iran's General Inspectorate Office Mostafa Pourmohammadi said, addressing the Iranian Army's Ground Force personnel.
He said that the US would not hesitate to attack Iran if it were assured of its victory, and added that Washington has proved that "it is not committed to the international treaties and acts more shamelessly than what we think."
"Our military might is our deterrent factor," yet, Iran is not after conflict, he reiterated.
"We were not and are not seeking war but we will defend ourselves very well if a beast appears in front of us," he stressed.
Iranian officials and commanders have warned that any enemy move, even the slightest aggression, against the Islamic Republic would be reciprocated with a destructive response and will endanger the interests of the aggressor all around the world.
On November 10, Ayatollah Khamenei warned enemies about Iran's tough response to any aggression or even threat, stressing that the country would respond with full force to any attack.
"Iran is not a nation to sit still and just observe threats from fragile materialist powers which are being eaten by worms from inside," Ayatollah Khamenei told students at a Tehran military college.
"Anyone who harbors any thought of invading the Islamic Republic of Iran - or even if the thought crosses their mind - should be prepared to receive strong blows and the steel fists of the military, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and the Basij (volunteer) force, backed by the entire Iranian nation," he said.
"Iran will respond with full force to any aggression or even threats in a way that will demolish the aggressors from within," he added.
