The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Sixth Ordinary Session of the Second Parliament kicked off Monday in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia.
The session is in preparation for the coming 18th African Union Summit scheduled to take place from Jan 23 to 30.
For the first time PAP session is being held outside its Seat in South Africa since its inaugural Session. The PAP was inaugurated in 2004 in Addis Ababa and moved to its current seat in Midrand, Johannesburg – South Africa as one of the 10 Organs of the AU.
Delegates from five different areas of Africa have the responsibility of protecting legislations and supervising the implementation of laws.
