BNA and Petra sign MoC

Amman: March 7 -- (BNA) Bahrain News Agency (BNA) and the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) signed today a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) for exchanging of news between both news agencies within the frame of joint Arab media cooperation in order to boost media cooperation between the two sisterly Kingdoms.

Bahrain News Agency acting director Mohannad Sulaiman said that the signing of the agreement emanates from the spirit of fraternal cooperation relations between both brotherly countries, highlighting the role played by BNA and Petra in portraying solid brotherly bilateral relations between the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the two brotherly peoples laid down by both wise leaderships.

Sulaiman added that the signing of the agreement between both news agencies comes under the belief of the Bahraini and Jordanian news agencies in the need to boost bilateral cooperation relations in exchanging, broadcasting, distributing of news and expertise between both agencies in various media spheres in order to reap benefit to both news agencies work.
The cooperation and news exchanging memorandum was signed on behalf of Bahrain News Agency by its acting director Mohannad Sulaiman and on behalf of the Jordanian side by the Jordanian News Agency's general director Faisal Al-Shboul, in order for BNA and Petra to exchange their news bulletins, images and to use them.

BNA and Petra shall also distribute their news reels inside both brotherly countries, provide necessary image services through available transmission and reception channels, facilitate technical and technological cooperation including exchanging of expertise in the media field between both sides.

Both news agencies shall provide each other with significant news broadcasts regarding coverage of events in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in addition to provision of possible facilities for permanent correspondents for each news agency in the other country and for their employees on journalistic missions.

Both news agencies shall coordinate bilateral professional stances during Arab, regional and international meetings, in addition to exchanging of technical expertise, training in the media as shall be mutually agreed between both news agencies.

Bahrain News Agency's acting director toured the the Jordanian News Agency's - (Petra's) - departments and was familiarized with its news activities, journalistic follow ups, images, work mechanisms, technical communications, media training center, Petra's website as well as internal and external news editors' department and local news coverage from all over the Kingdom and abroad.
