OMAN: 35 suspected sex workers arrested in Sohar raid

Suspected health clubs were monitored prior to raids in Sohar, Royal Oman Police say
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have raided seven health centres in Sohar and arrested 35 Asian men and women on charges of prostitution, according to a press release on Saturday.
"The police received information about immoral behaviour and unethical practices at a health club in north Batinah area," said ROP spokesman Ali Al Kasbi.
The police monitored these health clubs before carrying out raids, Al Kasbi said, adding that "the police wanted to make sure that the information was correct."
The suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
